This unique Way of the Cross Chaplet was once granted to the Vincentian Order by Popes Pius IX and X. Although later revised by the Holy Office in 1912—clarifying that indulgences may be gained using an indulgenced crucifix alone—it remains a powerful devotional tool, especially for those unable to attend church.
