  • This unique Way of the Cross Chaplet was once granted to the Vincentian Order by Popes Pius IX and X. Although later revised by the Holy Office in 1912—clarifying that indulgences may be gained using an indulgenced crucifix alone—it remains a powerful devotional tool, especially for those unable to attend church.

     

    While not technically a rosary, this chaplet is a meaningful way to meditate on Christ’s Passion. The Church has granted the sick and homebound the privilege of receiving the indulgences of the Stations of the Cross by holding a properly indulgenced crucifix and praying the Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be 20 times.
